Garrett Spears

Prior to Box Investment Group, Garrett was an Investment Associate at Holt Lunsford Commercial Investments (HLCI). He joined HLCI in 2016 and was responsible for investor and lender reporting and relations; implementing and overseeing the Investor Management system; Asset Management support; Development support including draws and Lender communications; and acquisition and disposition closings. In addition, he was responsible for all accounting functions including both HLCI Funds, Partnerships, managing lines of credit, distributions, and financials.

Prior to joining HLCI, Garrett was a portfolio accountant for Holt Lunsford Commercial. Garrett worked closely with the property management department and the Asset Managers and Accountants of institutional owners. He was responsible for preparing and maintaining monthly financial statements as well as analyzing financial performance for approximately 15 million square feet of industrial and office commercial real estate for various owners.

After graduation, Garrett was hired as an accountant for Cinergy Cinemas andEntertainment where he performed a wide variety of oversight and accounting functions for day-to-day operations and individual unit profitability of five locations.

Garrett graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master of Science in Accounting with an emphasis on Taxation. He currently lives in Hickory Creek, Texas with his wife Kandace and their son Garren.
